Consult the I Ching

One question, three coins, six throws.

The I Ching is a Chinese book more than 2,500 years old. For centuries it has been consulted with three Chinese bronze coins that have a square hole in the middle: six throws give one of 64 hexagrams, and each has a Judgement and an Image. Judgement, Image and lines appear here in Richard Wilhelm’s translation, rendered into English by us. The notes in everyday English and the questions for you are our own reading.

The I Ching does not predict what will happen. It shows you what the moment is made of and leaves the next step to you.

The I Ching answers most clearly when your question describes a situation. Your question stays on your device and is not stored anywhere.

Keep your question in mind and throw the coins six times, once for each line. The first line goes at the bottom.
